Benue State Governor, Reverend Father Hyacinth Alia, has reiterated his administration’s commitment to completing the Awajir-Oju road, currently under construction. Governor Alia, represented by his Deputy, Dr. Sam Ode, made this statement on Saturday during the 20th anniversary of Alochu Foundation and the unveiling of the Alochu political support group for Tinubu and Alia 2027 at Oju.
Governor Alia disclosed that he is committed to fulfilling all his campaign promises to the people of the state and hinted that he will soon hold a town hall meeting with the people of Oju to identify more projects for execution. He described the founder of Alucho Foundation, High Chief Francis Alochu, as a devoted and humble man who is always there for his people and humanity.
The Governor expressed appreciation to Chief Alochu for forming a political support group for President Tinubu and himself, urging him to continue supporting his people and humanity.
The Och’Idoma, His Royal Majesty, Dr. Eliagwu Odogbo, lauded High Chief Francis Alochu’s initiatives and commended him for contributing meaningfully to the upliftment of humanity. He called on the people of Benue South to be united for the overall benefits of the zone and the state.
The National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress, Professor Nentawe Yilwatda, represented by the party’s chairman in Benue State, Dr. Benjamin Omale, thanked Chief Alucho for touching lives and uplifting humanity.
Chief Alucho disclosed that the foundation was established in 2004 to give back to society and expressed gratitude to God for sustaining the vision. He said the support group for President Ahmed Tinubu and Governor Hyacinth Alia was his way of appreciating their performance and ensuring victory for them in 2027.
Highlights of the event included a cash gift of one hundred thousand naira each to one hundred and fifty retired ministers of God and the donation of two vehicles in support of the political group.
