The State Working Committee (SWC) of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Taraba State, and stakeholders have unanimously endorsed Governor Agbu Kefas and Senator Bola Ahmed Tinubu for a second term in office ahead of the 2027 general election.
The endorsement was made during an extraordinary expanded executive meeting with all local government executives in attendance at the party secretariat in Jalingo, the state capital, on Tuesday.
Speaking during the meeting, the state APC chairman, Barr. Ibrahim El-Sudi, announced the dissolution of the state executive committee and state working committee, which had served for the past four years, effective March 3, 2026.
Barr. El-Sudi expressed his happiness with the APC family for endorsing Governor Kefas and Senator Tinubu for a second term, citing their commitment to national development. He congratulated all APC local government executives on their recent congress and urged the people of Taraba to rally around the duo to consolidate the progress and development of the nation.
When asked about his earlier criticism of Governor Kefas, Barr. El-Sudi said, “When Governor Kefas was in PDP, achievements were less expected of Tarabans. But now in APC, we have baptized him with the APC high-profile spirit of development and progress for national progress and unity, in line with the constitution.”
The APC chairman called on the people of the state to support Governor Kefas and Senator Tinubu in the 2027 election to continue their developmental stride and complete and initiate new projects that benefit the state and Nigerians at large.
