The Benue State Ministry of Information and Orientation is seeking a partnership with The Alternative Bank to implement solar energy solutions, aiming to improve working conditions across its agencies for more effective service delivery.
The Commissioner for Information and Orientation, Hon. Chief Solomon Iorpev, disclosed this on Thursday when a delegation from The Alternative Bank paid him a courtesy visit in his office.
Chief Iorpev stated that the ministry and its parastatals specifically Radio Benue, the Benue Printing and Publishing Corporation ( BPPC) and Benue Television, require a stable, alternative power supply to operate optimally.
”We cannot deliver effective information services without power. Solar energy is sustainable and will enable our agencies to function better and deliver on their mandates,” Iorpev said.
He noted that the proposed collaboration will focus on installing solar panels to power both broadcasting equipment and administrative offices.
Speaking on behalf of The Alternative Bank team, Relationship Manager Ejura Okpeke assured the Commissioner of their readiness to partner with the ministry to deliver clean, reliable and affordable energy solutions.
