Coach Agagbe admits Barau, Abia Warriors match will be tough

The Head Coach of Barau FC of Kano, Eugene Agagbe has stated that his team’s scuffle with the Abia Warriors FC of Umuahia will be tough but he will overcome it at the end of the day.

Coach Agagbe made the declaration in a telephone chat with The VoiceSports on Tuesday March. He remarked, “the Match Week 30 clash with the Umuahia based side this Weekend, in the 2025/26 NPFL is going to be a very tough one but at the end of the day, I will go home with my three points. We need the points more than the Warriors do because we lost our Match Week 29 away to Kano Pillars FC and we can’t afford to lose two matches in a row”.

The former Julius Berger FC of Lagos attack wizard who expressed confidence in the calibre of players that Barau FC was endowed with, maintained that, they approached every game as it came and the Abia Warriors’ issue would not be different from the other games they had played. He averred that, “my players will remain focused, determined and will do everything possible to secure the 3 maximum points at the end of the day, by the grace of God”.

“After our loss to Kano Pillars FC, I told my players that the match has been played, won and lost but we will keep on looking forward to the matches that are coming ahead. Abia Warriors is our next match and we have to work harder and get our three points”.

He thanked the fans for their continued support for Barau FC and who even when they were playing badly stood by them because they wanted them to win. “I want to encourage all of you that by the special grace of God, we will always make you happy and also give you joy. I want you to continue to support us as you have been doing”.
