The Technical Adviser, TA of the Benue State representatives in the 2026 President Federation Cup, Flight FC of Gboko, Donald Orhungur, has assured that he is expecting nothing short of victory, in the Q-finals match against Wikki Tourist FC of Bauchi today, at the Jos Township Stadium.
Orhungur gave the assurance to VoiceSports via telephone conversation, today. He said, “we are a product of a project that has been a long time coming and I’ve been with the boys for a while now, trained together with them, we have done everything right both on and off the pitch and we are only waiting for our victory in today’s match”.
The Technical Adviser who said one of their biggest motivations was where they are now, and that they were also wishing to put Benue State on the football map of Nigeria and beyond, stressed that, “the team has also been motivated by the state, by receiving great support from fans who are always calling to cheer us up and to encourage us. We are very happy with everybody”.
While encouraging the teeming fans and supporters of Flight FC and the sports loving people of Benue State, to keep on believing in the team, assured them that by the grace of God, they would definitely get to the promised land and he prayed to God to help them, clinch the ticket for the 2026 FA Cup final. He stated that, “I am proud of the management of Flight FC for the efforts they have been putting towards ensuring the team’s unity and togetherness and also seeing to it that nothing went wrong with the team”. He further maintained that, “our allowances are intact and the boys are in high spirits and that the management has done its part, the players have equally done theirs and we are only waiting for the 90 minutes of regulation time in today’s match against Wikki Tourist FC of Bauchi .
Orhungur commended the President of Flight FC of Gboko, Amb Dr Solomon Andiir for his resilience, doggedness and undiluted commitment to the welfare of the team and for believing in him. He informed that, ” when I returned from my Coaching course at the NIS Lagos, he did what a lot of people wouldn’t do, by entrusting the team to me because of the belief that he has in me and for what he has seen in me. He has for the past three years, built a solid foundation for the team and now this is how far it has taken us”.
