BPPC Acting GM meets Shimatex, seeks collaboration

The newly appointed Acting General Manager of the Benue Printing and Publishing Corporation (BPPC),  Akpera Nase, on Thursday met with the Managing Director of Shimatex Nigeria Limited, Joel Mtsor, a private partner of the corporation, to foster a harmonious working relationship and evolve proactive measures to impact the rapid growth of printing in the state and country.

Nase, who led the management of BPPC, publisher of The Voice Newspaper, on a familiarisation visit, described it as a family affair and explained that the gesture became imperative to enhance the working relationship and to solicit cooperation to move the agency forward.

According to him, The Voice Newspaper is the mouthpiece of government that disseminates information and serves as a feedback mechanism on government policies, programmes and achievements.

Appreciating Shimatex for the turnaround of BPPC, especially in printing, Nase stated that the progress has highlighted a greater achievement of the Governor Hyacinth Alia administration in deploying modern printing technology.

Also speaking, the Editor of The Voice Newspaper, Solomon Ayado, who said the visit addressed misconstrued issues, particularly in the area of staff relations, commended Shimatex for its resilience and impactful initiatives. He called for understanding between the two unit heads to grow the agency.

The Chairman of the Editorial Board, Moses Akarhan, who said the visit was apt, encouraged Shimatex not to be discouraged and to remain steadfast in ensuring greater transformation in the BPPC.

Receiving the delegation, the MD of Shimatex, Mr. Joel Mtsor, appreciated the visit and said it had boosted his confidence to do more for the agency.

Mtsor urged the BPPC management to sustain the relationship and assured that he would readily render maximum support where and whenever necessary.
