Nasarawa State Coordinator of the Renewed Hope Agenda, Dr Labaran Magaji, has announced the receipt of 1,200 bags of rice palliatives, ready for distribution to Renewed Hope supporters and ambassadors across the state.
Dr Magaji, who doubles as the Secretary to the Nasarawa State Government, disclosed this to newsmen in Lafia on Tuesday, describing the gesture as a token of appreciation to the supporters and ambassadors.
“The Renewed Hope ambassadors in Nasarawa state appreciate the gesture of Mr. President; the rice palliatives are not about how many bags we have received, but about the spirit behind it. So, we thank Mr. President for remembering Nasarawa state,” Dr Magaji said.
He emphasised that the palliatives would be distributed across communities and wards in the spirit of unity.
Dr Magaji seized the opportunity to appeal for continued support for the All Progressives Congress (APC)-led government of President Bola Tinubu and Governor Abdullahi Sule, urging citizens to sustain their backing beyond 2027.
“He means well for Nigeria and Nasarawa state in particular,” he said.
Highlighting notable developments in the state, Dr Magaji cited the construction of the Lafia flyover and underpass, State Secretariat, Akwanga underpass, Keffi flyover and underpass, and two flyovers in Mararaba, Karu Local Government Area.
He attributed these achievements to Governor Sule’s visionary leadership and President Tinubu’s economic reforms.
“We are grateful to President Tinubu, who leads the Federal Government. We have seen and felt the dividends of democracy in this government. Recently, the federal government has awarded the Nasarawa-Toto-Abaji Road, and more are yet to come,” he said.
He praised Governor Sule’s leadership, saying, “We are lucky to have a governor who has a fear of God, is prudent in managing state resources, and leads by example.”
