The Chief Press Secretary (CPS) to the Governor of Benue State, Sir Tersoo Kula, has been conferred with a prestigious Award of Excellence by the Nigeria House of Dream Parliament (NHODP). This is in recognition of his outstanding contributions to media professionalism and public service.
Presenting the award, which celebrates Kula as an “Icon of Hope in Journalism in Nigeria,” on Tuesday in his office at Government House, Makurdi, Comrade Mike Egilamics Egila, National Speaker of NHODP, who led a delegation of members of the parliament, highlighted Kula’s exceptional service in shaping the public image of the Benue State Government. He noted that Kula’s tenure has brought a high level of professionalism, transparency, and positive communication strategies that have benefited both the state and the broader North-Central region.
The ceremony was attended by top government functionaries, including Dr. Emmanuel Chenge, Principal Private Secretary (PPS) to the Governor, as well as Dr. Aondoakaa Asambe, Director-General, Bureau for Livestock Development and Transboundary Animal Diseases Control, who, in their separate remarks, commended Kula for his unwavering commitment. They further described the award as a fitting recognition of his dedication and tireless work ethic.
Responding after receiving the award, Sir Tersoo Kula expressed deep gratitude to NHODP for the recognition and dedicated the award to Governor Hyacinth Iormem Alia, to whom he expressed appreciation for providing the platform and trust to serve the state in such a sensitive and strategic capacity.
“This award is not just for me but for the opportunity to serve Benue State with integrity and professionalism. I am grateful to His Excellency for entrusting me with this responsibility,” Kula stated.
The Nigeria House of Dream Parliament (NHODP) is a Non-Governmental Organization (NGO) aimed at preparing, training, and educating Nigerian youths for more proactive and effective leadership responsibilities, as well as recognizing selfless service, excellence, and dedication to societal development.
