Benue State University Teaching Hospital (BSUTH) has announced major appointments for key departments, aimed at strengthening administrative efficiency and enhancing service delivery. The new heads were confirmed at the first top management meeting of 2026, held on Wednesday, at the CMD’s Conference Room, BSUTH, Makurdi.
The appointments include Mr. William Ikyegh as substantive Head of Human Resource, Mr. Toryila Igbudu as Head of Procurement, Mr. Tsenzughul Moses Friday as Head of Public Relations & Protocol, and Mr. Solomon Akaa as Head of SERVICOM Unit. Additionally, Mrs. Regina Agbo has been appointed Acting Head of the Stores Unit, and Mr. Tseneke Abraham as Acting Head of the Library Department.
Chief Medical Director, Dr. Terungwa Stephen Hwande, who chaired the meeting, commended the management team for their commitment to excellence and warned the new heads to maintain high standards. “Management will not tolerate any lapses in the discharge of their responsibilities,” he emphasized, urging them to step up their capacity and ensure the smooth operation of their respective departments.
In a statement on Wednesday, the Chief Information Officer/Head, Public Relations & Protocol, Benue State University Teaching Hospital, Tsenzughul Moses F., said the appointments are part of BSUTH’s efforts to consolidate its position as a leading healthcare institution in the region. The new heads are expected to bring fresh perspectives and expertise to their roles, driving improvements in patient care, staff management, and overall hospital performance.
According to the statement, the management of BSUTH has expressed confidence in the abilities of the new appointees and looks forward to their contributions to the hospital’s growth and development. The appointments take immediate effect.
