Police to commence screening of Applicants in Benue Next week 

The Benue State Police Command is to commence the 2025/2026 physical and credential screening of applicants who applied as Constables from Monday, 9th March 2026.

According to the press release signed by the Police Public Relations Officer Benue state command, DSP Udeme Edet stated that the general public, particularly applicants from Benue State, that the physical and credentials screening exercise for the recruitment of General Duty and Specialist Police Constables into the Nigerian Police Force, will commence from Monday, 9th March, 2026, to Saturday, 18th April, 2026.

 DSP Udeme further stated that the venue will be Police Central Barracks Football Field here in Makurdi while the exercise will commence by 7:00 am daily and advised applicants to log in to the recruitment portal to confirm their status and print relevant documents.

All applicants must also bring the following items neatly arranged in two white flat files, application Submission Slip, Physical Screening Form, Invitation Slip (with table number), Credential Screening Form, National Identity Number (NIN) printout/card, O’Level Certificate(s).

Other items to be tender during the screening exercise also includes, birth Certificate/Age Declaration, Local Government/State of Origin Certificate, Trade Test result (for specialist applicants), Completed Guarantors Form with passport photographs, . Credentials arranged in two white files with recent passport photographs and dress code. Applicants are to report at the screening venue wearing white canvas shoes, white T-shirts, white shorts, and white stockings..

The press release warned that applicants who failed to present the above-listed documents or failed to adhere to the dress code, or report outside their scheduled date will not be considered for screening.
