The Executive Governor of Benue State, Rev. Fr. Hyacinth Alia has approved the establishment of a Made-in-Nigeria program office in Benue State.
The office will serve as the State’s structured platform to translate the Made-In-Nigeria agenda into bankable projects, measurable jobs and industrial expansion, aligned with the Benue State Development Plan 2025 – 2034.
According to a statement signed by Technical Adviser to the Benue State Governor on Media, Publicity and Strategic Communication, Chief Solomon Iorpev, the
Program Office which will be coordinated by the Office of the Secretary to the State Government (SSG) with technical support from the Benue Investment Promotion Agency and the Bureau for International Cooperation and Development, is responsible for the coordination of the state level implementation of the Made-In-Nigeria agenda, packaging and promotion of agro-industrial and manufacturing investments, supporting Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs) to meet quality and market standards among other responsibilities.
The statement disclosed that consequently, Governor Alia has approved the appointment of a coordinating team of the program office in the State
Members of the team include Orduen Ikon (Oddy Woods)- State Cordinator; Michael Ogwuche- Member; Barr Ori Onum- Member; Bennet Abul- Member; Michael Shenge- Member, Dr. Terese Akpen- Member; Fidelis Adasu- Member and Joseph Spitz Igomu- Member as well as Jamal Mshelia- Member
The statement further disclosed that the Governor wishes the team well and encourages them to put in their best to make the State proud.
