Insecurity: Alia Commends Tinubu Over Personnel, Logistics

Benue State Governor, Rev. Fr. Hyacinth Alia, has expressed his appreciation to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, GCFR, for the wonderful personnel and logistics support he is providing to the state.

According to a press statement issued Monday by Technical Adviser to the Benue State Governor on Media, Publicity and Strategic Communication, Chief Solomon Iorpev, “While welcoming a new set of security personnel deployed to the state, the Governor expressed satisfaction with the level of support he is receiving from the President and charged the new personnel to put in their best to ensure that complete peace is restored in the state, especially considering its position as the food basket of the nation.

“Governor Alia also thanked the heads of security agencies in the state and called on them to continue their good work, citing the recent rescue of the nine Utonkon children as an example. He urged them to maintain the same spirit until the state is rid of all forms of insecurity.

“The Governor commissioned the operatives to ensure adequate security for the workers contracted to construct the Nyihemba-Abande road, which is meant to ease movement and reduce response time in instances of distress calls.

“The Governor, who stated that democracy remains the bedrock of any meaningful development, charged the officers to deploy adequate security for the safe conduct of the upcoming APC congresses. He restated his commitment to good governance and encouraged all Benue sons and daughters to stand by him so that he could lead Benue out of the woods of underdevelopment.
