Benue Deputy Gov. celebrates Chief Ukpoju @ 80

…Hails legacy of service

Benue State Deputy Governor, Dr. Sam Ode, has felicitated with a foremost politician and community leader, Chief Godwin  Ukpoju, on the occasion of his 80th birthday anniversary.

In a goodwill message issued on Sunday, the Deputy Chief Press Secretary, office of the Deputy Governor, Ior Ikyereve, said Dr. Ode described the milestone as a profound testament to God’s grace, mercy and faithfulness upon the celebrant’s life.

He said the celebration was not only about longevity, but also an opportunity to honour a life dedicated to service, enterprise, leadership and meaningful contributions to society.

The Deputy Governor commended Chief Ukpoju’s decades of active participation in politics since the Second Republic, noting that his achievements in business, coupled with his commitment to public service, have earned him respect across generations.

“Chief Ukpoju’s journey over eight decades, marked by resilience, diligence and steadfast commitment to service, offers a worthy example of purposeful leadership and the enduring value of dedication,” Dr. Ode stated.

He also conveyed the felicitations and best wishes of Governor Hyacinth Iormem Alia to the celebrant. According to him, the Governor deeply appreciates Chief Ukpoju’s longstanding contributions to the political, socio-economic and community development of Benue State, and wishes him continued good health, peace and many more years of purposeful living.

Dr. Ode joined the celebrant’s family, friends, political associates and well-wishers in thanking Almighty God for His blessings upon Chief Ukpoju’s life. He prayed that God grants him renewed strength, wisdom and many more years of service to humanity.
