Easter: Benue Deputy Governor urges unity, commitment to development

The Deputy Governor of Benue State, Dr. Sam Ode, has extended warm Easter greetings to the people of the state, emphasizing the importance of embracing the virtues of love, unity, sacrifice, and faith as symbolized by the season.

The Deputy Governor described the occasion as a profound reminder of the triumph of life over death, light over darkness, and hope over despair, as exemplified by the resurrection of Jesus Christ. He noted that the season presents an opportunity for the people of Benue State to strengthen the bonds of unity, promote peaceful coexistence, and renew their collective commitment to the growth and development of the state.

In a statement issued by Ior Ikyereve, Deputy Chief Press Secretary, Office of the Deputy Governor, on Sunday, Dr. Ode urged citizens to continue to support the policies and programmes of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and Governor Hyacinth Iormem Alia, aimed at enhancing security, stimulating economic growth, and improving the overall welfare of the people.

While felicitating with Christians and all residents of the state, the Deputy Governor also encouraged acts of compassion and generosity towards the less privileged, emphasizing the importance of tolerance, kindness, and communal harmony. He prayed that the blessings of Easter would fill every home with peace, joy, and renewed strength, and inspire all to rise above challenges and work collectively towards a brighter and more prosperous Benue State.
