Governor Agbu Kefas of Taraba State has approved a minor cabinet reshufflement, redeploying four members of the State Executive Council with immediate effect.
The announcement was contained in a press release issued on Tuesday, by the Secretary to the Government of the State, Gebon Katamkp.
According to the statement, the redeployment is aimed at strengthening service delivery and improving efficiency across key ministries of the state.
The affected commissioners and their new portfolios are: Hon. Peter George moves from the Ministry of Commerce, Trade and Industry to the Ministry of Water Management and Aquatic Affairs. Hon. Daniel Ishaku is redeployed from the Ministry of Water Management and Aquatic Affairs to the Ministry of Waste Management and Resource Innovation.
Hon. Bernard Kassa moves from the Ministry of Waste Management and Resource Innovation to the Ministry of Social Development and Human Services while Hon. Philip James who was in charge of the Ministry of Social Development and Human Services is to now head the Ministry of Commerce, Trade and Industry.
Governor Kefas wished the affected commissioners success in their new assignments and urged them to bring their experience to bear in advancing the administration’s development agenda.
The reshufflement comes as the Kefas administration continues to realign government structures to meet the goals of its 5-finger development agenda, which prioritizes infrastructure, agriculture, health, education, and the environment.
