The Boys Brigade Nigeria (BBN) has invested Mr. Paul Adara Adiwu as Patron of the 23rd Company of the Boys Brigade Nigeria, ECWA Gospel Church, Kissaloi, in Bassa Local Government Area of Plateau State.
The investiture was performed by the National President of the Boys Brigade Nigeria, Prof. Samson Duna, on Sunday during a church service held at ECWA Gospel Church, Kissaloi, as part of activities marking the enrollment of new members into the organisation.
Performing the investiture, Prof. Duna urged parents and guardians to encourage their children to enroll in the Boys Brigade, describing the organisation as an important platform for nurturing young people in Christian values, discipline, and leadership.
Speaking with journalists shortly after the service, the National President said the Boys Brigade plays a significant role in preparing young boys for responsible adulthood and encouraging them to win souls for the Kingdom of God.
He explained that children enrolled in the Boys Brigade are exposed to biblical teachings, self-control, discipline, and respect for their parents and humanity. Prof. Duna urged parents to make the organisation a priority in the upbringing of their children, stressing that service to God is rewarding. He therefore called on Christians to serve God diligently and remain committed to the teachings of the Christian faith.
He also named Mr. Adiwu as a National Patron to be decorated at a later date.
Speaking after his investiture, the newly installed Patron, Mr. Adiwu, expressed appreciation for the honour bestowed on him and said he would not take the recognition for granted, noting that the Boys Brigade had played a significant role in grooming him for leadership at different stages of his life.
He thanked the church and the Boys Brigade for the confidence reposed in him and pledged to continue serving God through the organisation.
He also called on members of the congregation to prioritise service to God and contribute positively to the growth of the Boys Brigade.

The guest preacher at the service, Rev. Silas Yako, urged Christians to prioritise the work of God above earthly pursuits and personal interests. Taking his Bible reading from Philippians 3:12–14, Rev. Yako cited the examples of biblical prophets and the disciples of Jesus Christ who dedicated themselves to the service of God.
The cleric, who is also a gospel singer, encouraged the congregation to make God’s work a priority and avoid activities that would not please God.
Also speaking with journalists, the Member of the House of Representatives representing the Bassa/Jos North Federal Constituency, Hon. Daniel Asama, described the Boys Brigade Nigeria as an important organisation for instilling good morals and discipline in young Christians.
Asama said God rewards people according to the services they render to Him through humanity, urging Christians to remain committed to serving God and their communities. He also commended the Boys Brigade for its contribution to community security, particularly through its support for churches and other community institutions.
The church service witnessed the formal enrollment of new members into the Boys Brigade Nigeria, Kissaloi 23rd Company.
The event attracted several dignitaries, including the ECWA General Secretary, Dr. Ayuba Asheshe; Hon. Daniel Asama; the Boys Brigade Nigeria State President, Yilji Nenfwang; and Mr. Akuten Achaka, among others.
The dignitaries participated in the investiture of the new patron and the enrollment of the new members.
The Boys Brigade Nigeria, established in 1908, has over the years focused on the moral, spiritual, and leadership development of young people, preparing them for responsible service to God, the church, and society.
