The Plateau State Council of the Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ) held its 3rd annual Christmas carols, themed “Celebrate the Prince of Peace” to pray for peace and safety of Journalists.
The event held at the NUJ premises in Jos was well-attended, with representatives of key invited guests present.
The Chairman of the Plateau NUJ Council, Mrs Ayuku Pwaspo, highlighted the significance of the occasion, saying it was an opportunity to offer prayers for the outgoing year and seek a better deal in the coming years.
She thanked NUJ partners and members for their participation and appreciated the council’s Patron, the Emir of Wase, for his support.

The Commissioner for Information and Communication, Plateau State, Rt Hon Joyce Ramnap, congratulated NUJ for the event.
Rev Yusuf Wanson, Executive Secretary, Plateau State Christian Pilgrims Board, delivered an exhortation, admonishing Christians to live uprightly. Four lessons from the Holy Bible were read, focusing on the relationship between Man and God.
The Voice reports that special prayers were offered for the protection and success of Plateau journalists, particularly those in the field gathering and reporting events.
The event was attended by journalists from various media outlets, including non-Christians who participated in the carols.
