A four-day Purpose Convention held at the Moses Orshio Adasu University, Makurdi by Campus Witness Gospel Church, has ended with a call on believers to deepen their relationship with the Holy Spirit through prayer and fellowship with God.
Delivering his sermon titled “Partnering with the Holy Ghost” on Sunday, visiting minister Prophet Roland Okwori ministered to the congregation led by Resident Pastor Victor Ogwuche.
Anchored on Ephesians 5, the sermon emphasized the importance of partnering with the Holy Spirit in fulfilling God’s purpose for the lives of believers.
Prophet Okwori explained that the Holy Spirit helps believers to understand God’s will, strengthens their prayer life, and positions them to walk effectively in their divine purpose.
He further highlighted the relationship between vision and prayer, noting that vision increases awareness while prayer brings participation. He cautioned that believers who are excited about visions but lack commitment to prayer may struggle to fulfill their purpose.
According to him, prayer is a major requirement for fulfilling God’s mandate. He described the place of prayer as where believers receive understanding of God’s will, gain direction, and become aligned with God’s heart.
He added that prayer is also about receiving divine perspective and becoming active participants in God’s agenda.
The visiting prophet concluded by urging the congregation to remain committed to a consistent life of prayer, alignment, and fellowship with God.
