The Executive Chairman of the Benue State Universal Basic Education Board (SUBEB), Dr. Grace Adagba, has donated a hand mower to LGEA Primary School, Mbakpiam, in Konshisha Local Government Area, to boost sanitation and support regular maintenance of the school grounds.
Speaking during an inspection visit to the facility, Dr. Adagba commended the Mbakpiam community for its strong sense of ownership, dedication to maintaining a clean environment, and commitment to safeguarding school facilities.
She noted that the community’s proactive efforts have significantly contributed to creating a conducive atmosphere for teaching and learning. Dr. Adagba further disclosed that LGEA Primary School, Mbakpiam, has been earmarked for a comprehensive whole-school intervention, in line with Governor Hyacinth Alia’s commitment to improving basic education across Benue State.
Responding on behalf of the community, the Ortar of Mbakpiam, Zaki Augustine Wuaga, expressed deep appreciation to Dr. Adagba for the visit and donation, describing the outreach as a unique and encouraging gesture.
Zaki Wuaga praised the Benue State Government’s ongoing educational interventions, noting that improved facilities have led to a noticeable surge in pupil enrollment within the area.
He pledged the community’s continued support in protecting government infrastructure for the benefit of pupils and teachers alike.
The visit formed part of a broader monitoring exercise overseeing ongoing school construction and furnishing projects across Zones A and B, aimed at elevating basic education standards statewide.
