BSUTH CMD praises Alia @ 60, commends health sector support

The Chief Medical Director, CMD of Benue State University Teaching Hospital, BSUTH, Makurdi, Dr. Stephen Hwande, has congratulated Governor Hyacinth Iormem Alia on his 60th birthday, describing him as a visionary leader committed to the development of the state.

In a goodwill message issued on Wednesday by Tsenzughul Moses, Head of Public Relations and Protocol at the hospital, Dr. Hwande commended the governor’s consistent support for the health sector, particularly the teaching hospital. He said the administration’s interventions had improved healthcare delivery and strengthened BSUTH’s capacity to provide quality medical services to residents.

The CMD noted that investments in modern medical equipment and infrastructure under Governor Alia’s leadership had strengthened diagnostic and treatment services at the hospital. According to him, the upgrades have positioned BSUTH as one of the leading tertiary healthcare institutions in Benue State.

Dr. Hwande added that the governor’s people-oriented leadership and emphasis on excellence had boosted morale among healthcare workers and inspired public confidence in the health system. He said the administration’s policies had created an enabling environment for improved service delivery across the sector.

Praying for the governor’s continued well-being, the CMD asked for God’s wisdom, strength, and good health for Alia as he marks six decades of life and public service. He wished the governor many more years of fruitful leadership and service to the nation.
