...As GM Visits Injured Passengers

Benue Links Nigeria Limited has confirmed an attack on one of its vehicles, PP974, which occurred at the Burnt Bricks area of Otukpo on Saturday, around 7:00 pm. The vehicle, which departed Gboko en route to Otukpo, was attacked by suspected gunmen, leaving three passengers with gunshot injuries. The injured passengers are currently receiving medical treatment at the Federal University of Health Sciences Teaching Hospital, Otukpo, and are responding positively to treatment.
The Management of the company has assured the public that the it is doing everything possible to ensure the safety and well-being of its passengers. The General Manager, Comrade Alexander Fanafa, personally visited the injured passengers at the hospital, providing logistical and emotional support. He assured the passengers that the company will bear the full cost of their medical treatment and ensure their safe transportation to their respective destinations once they are certified fit to travel.
“The safety of our passengers is our top priority, and we are committed to doing everything possible to ensure their safety and security,” Comrade Fanafa said. “We will leave no stone unturned in ensuring that those responsible for this heinous act are brought to justice.”
The General Manager (GM) also visited the Otukpo Police Station, where he met with the Divisional Police Officer (DPO) and officers of the Nigerian Police Force, expressing appreciation for their prompt response to distress calls involving the company. He commended the police for their efforts in combating criminal activities in the area and urged them to continue their good work.
In a statement on Sunday, the information officer of Benue Links, Johnson Who said, the management of the company reiterated its commitment to passenger safety and reassured the general public that the company is working closely with security agencies to ensure safer travel for all. It states that the company has also warned drivers to obey traffic regulations, drive responsibly, and stay security-conscious at all times, with the ban on night travel remaining in full force.
“We will not compromise on the safety and security of our passengers,” the statement read. “We will continue to work with security agencies to ensure that our roads are safe for all travelers.”
The incident has raised concerns about the safety of passengers and the need for increased security measures on the roads.
