Benue State Deputy Governor, Dr. Sam Ode, has flagged off the All Progressives Congress (APC) electronic registration exercise for people of Benue South Senatorial District. The event took place on Friday in Otukpo Local Government, where Dr. Ode registered as the first member (001) of the party in the zone.
Dr. Ode commended the administrations of President Bola Tinubu and Governor Hyacinth Alia for their efforts in infrastructural development and improving the welfare of the people, including the dualization of roads in Otukpo town. He encouraged residents to register as APC members to support the party’s continued success in the region, citing victories in previous elections.
The APC State Chairman, Dr. Benjamin Omale, described the e-registration as a noble idea, allowing the party to have accurate data on its members. He thanked President Tinubu for initiating the exercise and Governor Alia for his support, urging stakeholders to take ownership of the process and promote unity.
Members of the State House of Assembly, including Hon. Kennedy Angbo (Otukpo-Akpa), Hon. Mike Audu (Adoka-Ugboju), and Hon.. Anthony Agom (Okpokwu Constituency), pledged to ensure the exercise’s success in their respective wards, boosting the party’s chances in next year’s general elections.
