The management of Benue State University Teaching Hospital (BSUTH), Makurdi has confirmed Mr. Tsenzughul Moses as the substantive Head of the Public Relations (PR) and Protocol Department, effective January 7, 2026.
Mr. Tsenzughul, who joined BSUTH in 2012, has a strong background in administrative and information management roles, and was promoted to Chief Information Officer (CIO) in 2025.
Mr. Tsenzughul joined BSUTH in 2012 as an Administrative Officer II and was posted to the Public Relations and Protocol Department, where he distinguished himself through dedication, professionalism, and consistent advancement across administrative and information management roles. Through diligence and competence, he rose through the ranks and was promoted to Chief Information Officer (CIO) in 2025, marking a significant milestone in his career within the hospital’s administrative and communication structure.
He assumed office as Acting Head of the department on December 11, 2024, following the appointment of the former Head, Mr. Cephas Hough, as Permanent Secretary by the Executive Governor of Benue State, Rev. Fr. Hyacinth Iormem Alia.
Born on January 28, 1977, in Akamkpa, Cross River State, Mr. Tsenzughul hails from Ukum Local Government Area of Benue State. He is married to Mrs. Comfort Tersoo Tsenzughul, with three children, and is widely regarded as disciplined and service-driven.
Before his university education, he grew up mostly in military barracks as the son of a military officer, including Army Barracks, Akamkpa; Shaki, Oyo State; Owena Barracks, Akure; and Ojo Cantonment, Lagos, and did his NYSC at the Nigerian Defence Academy, Kaduna. He attended Army Children School 1, Owena Barracks, Akure, for his primary education, and Army Comprehensive Secondary School, Owena Barracks, Akure, later transferring to St. Gerald Catholic Day Secondary School, Katsina-Ala, Benue State, where he laid a strong foundation for discipline and leadership.
In a statement on Wednesday, Assistant Chief Information Officer, Public Relations & Protocol Department, Comfort Ajiga Enyi, said Mr. Tsenzughul holds a Diploma, B.Sc, and M Sc in Mass Communication from Benue State University and has worked with the Benue State Internal Revenue Service as well as Benue State Television Corporation before fully settling at BSUTH.
As Head of Public Relations and Protocol, Mr. Tsenzughul oversees media relations, patient information management, complaint resolution, staff orientation, and protocol services, contributing to improved public trust and patient-centered care. He is widely regarded as disciplined and service-driven, with a strong foundation in discipline and leadership.
