… Calls for fresh elections
The Women Support Group for His Excellency Silas Ali Agara and the Rtd. IGP Adamu 2027 Movement has demanded the immediate nullification of the recently concluded All Progressives Congress (APC) Senatorial and Gubernatorial primaries in Nasarawa State.
The women have called on the party’s National Working Committee (NWC) to conduct fresh, credible elections across three key local government areas.
Speaking at a heavily attended Press Conference in Akwanga Local Government Area (LGA) on Friday, the State Coordinator of the group, Hon. Rabi Abdullahi Musa, said the exercises held on May 18 and May 21, 2026, were marked by widespread manipulations.
Hon Musa said that no election took place in Wamba, Nasarawa Eggon, and Akwanga LGAs of the State. She stated that rather, the exercise was a highly coordinated plot to disenfranchise loyal party members and impose predetermined candidates.
The group’s leader described the events as a severe blow to the party’s internal cohesion and a direct violation of both the Electoral Act 2022 and the APC Constitution.
”We strongly and unequivocally condemn the deliberate sabotage, gross irregularities, and outright non-conduct of the APC Senatorial primaries held on 18th day of May, 2026 and the All Progressives Congress (APC) gubernatorial primary election held on 21st May, 2026 across three Local Government Areas of Nasarawa North Senatorial District”, she said.
The coordinator explained that despite thousands of registered party members turning out peacefully to vote, they were met with an empty process where official result sheets and sensitive materials were allegedly carted away hours before the scheduled time.
She noted that, in some specific wards, the signatures of Agara’s polling agents were outrightly forged, and zero votes were arbitrarily allocated to their candidate despite having strong, documented structures on the ground.
”In the three Local Government Areas of Nasarawa North Senatorial District such as Wamba, Nasarawa Eggon, and Akwanga, no form of voting, accreditation, or collation took place leaving the process fundamentally incomplete and invalid”, she added.
She further alleged structural manipulation, stating that certain ward headquarters were illegally relocated to the private residences of rival top politicians and their relatives to actively block Agara and Adamu supporters from accessing the venues.
Hon. Musa warned that validating such a deeply flawed process would set a dangerous precedent for the APC ahead of the 2027 general elections.
”To accept or validate any outcome arising from such a compromised process is to encourage impunity, reward electoral malpractice, and send a dangerous message that the voices and votes of loyal party members in Nasarawa State can be disregarded without consequence”, she said.
She warned the national leadership of the APC that while the group remains loyal to the ideals of the party and President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s commitment to internal democracy, they will not sit and watch in the face of political injustice.
”While the Women Support Group for His Excellency Silas Ali Agara APC Senatorial election and Rtd. IGP Adamu 2027 Movement remains firmly committed to the ideals and success of the APC, such commitment does not and cannot translate into silence in the face of injustice, manipulation, and electoral fraud,” She noted.
She concluded by demanding a comprehensive investigation by an independent panel into the actions of compromised party officials, threatening to explore all legal and constitutional avenues if fresh primaries are not urgently scheduled.
