The General Superintendent of Deeper Christian Life Ministry and Convener of the Global Crusade with Kumuyi, GCK, Pastor William Folorunsho Kumuyi, on Tuesday, commenced a six-day Global Crusade in Benue State.
He said people cannot improve situation by throwing stones or engaging in the blame game. According to him, when bad things happen, people may be responsible, but apportioning blame is not the solution, as God remains the only problem solver.
Pastor Kumuyi stated this during a courtesy visit to Benue State Governor, Rev. Fr. Hyacinth Alia, at Government House, Makurdi. He noted that God is always willing and at any time ready to solve the problems of insecurity, conflicts, confusion, and their attendant economic challenges confronting Nigeria, if Nigerians will humble themselves, pray, and turn from their wicked ways.
He urged Christian faithful to continue to put their hope in God, trust in Him, and have faith in Him so that their challenges can be solved, stressing that God is waiting for His people. Quoting from the Bible, he said, “If my people, who are called by my name, will humble themselves and pray, I will answer them.”
The General Superintendent of Deeper Christian Life Ministry expressed his support for the administration of Rev. Fr. Hyacinth Alia, and commended its political, infrastructural, and educational strides despite some visible challenges. “The state has recorded tremendous progress. There is nothing any man could have done, whatever the money, whatever the background, and whatever the resources. God is behind the blessings in Benue,” he emphasized.
He prophetically declared that God has a purpose for the state, for everyone, and for every community, and he prayed for the hand of God to continue to protect the state. “Through this state, the world will receive tremendous blessings. Since blessings begin at home, the major outpouring will be here in Benue State. It will touch your family and everyone. Once again, I have come with all my heart and with all that the Lord has given me. We believe God is able to do great things through Benue,” the global crusader stated.
Pastor Kumuyi further described his visit as a special moment, noting that June is his birth month, which coincides with Rev. Fr. Hyacinth Alia’s 60th birthday, as well as Benue’s 50th anniversary celebration.
“But to show our love for Benue State, we have begun here today, Tuesday, and will continue in Gboko starting today, then move to Otukpo beginning on Friday. There will be showers of blessings for the whole state. We are taking the blessings from here and transmitting them to the rest of the world,” he said.
According to Pastor Kumuyi, “What we do here will be broadcast globally across 180 countries, including Asia, South-East Asia, South Asia, North America, South America, Europe, Africa, and virtually every part of the world, which is the essence of GCK.” The global crusader expressed gratitude to God for the strength of the Church in the state, for what God is doing, and for what He will do in the future.
He expressed his gratitude to the government and people of Benue State for welcoming him. He also thanked the Pentecostal Fellowship of Nigeria, PFN, the Christian Association of Nigeria, CAN, elders, pastors, women, and youths who turned out to welcome him.
In his address, Rev. Fr. Hyacinth Alia, who was represented by his Deputy, Barr. Sam Ode, stated that Pastor Kumuyi’s ministry has impacted millions of lives across continents through his unwavering commitment to preaching the undiluted Gospel of Jesus Christ.
Governor Alia further stated that for decades, Kumuyi’s exemplary life of humility, discipline, integrity, and holiness has inspired believers and leaders alike. “Your consistency in proclaiming the message of salvation, righteousness, and hope has earned you respect across denominational and national boundaries,” he said, and assured that, as a government, the state deeply appreciates his decision to bring this life-transforming crusade to Benue State at this crucial time in its history.
According to Rev. Fr. Alia, “We believe this gathering will kindle faith, strengthen families, inspire our youth, promote peace, and encourage our people to remain steadfast in righteousness despite prevailing challenges.” He promised to provide all that is required for the successful hosting of the crusade in the state.
The highlight of the courtesy call was the presentation of Benue @50 souvenirs, as well as Benue State traditional attire representing the three major tribes in the state.
Pastor Kumuyi, who arrived at J.S. Tarka Airport in Makurdi, the Benue State capital, at exactly 9:00 a.m. in a private jet with registration number 5N CGC, was accompanied by his wife, Mommy Esther Kumuyi, and other pastors and elders from various denominations.
