The Deputy Governor of Benue State, Dr. Sam Ode, has felicitated with Mama Martina Alia, mother of the Governor, Rev. Fr. Dr. Hyacinth Alia, on her 82nd birthday anniversary.
In a statement issued on Sunday, by the Deputy Chief Press Secretary, office of the Deputy Governor, Mr. Ior Ikyereve, Ode described Mama Alia’s 82 years as “a remarkable testimony to the faithfulness, grace and enduring love of God.”
He said attaining the milestone was worthy of gratitude and celebration, noting that Mama Alia exemplified the values of motherhood, sacrifice, prayer and devotion to family.
The Deputy Governor emphasized the pivotal role Mama Alia played in the upbringing of Governor Alia, stating that her prayers, sacrifices and guidance significantly shaped the Governor’s character, values and leadership qualities.
He commended her for raising a son dedicated to the service of humanity and the development of Benue State, adding that “the positive impact of a mother’s upbringing is often reflected in the character and accomplishments of her children.”
Ode prayed for God’s continued strength, protection and preservation of Mama Martina Alia in sound health, renewed vitality and divine grace. He also prayed for many more years of peace, joy and fulfillment for her in the company of her children, grandchildren and loved ones.
