FULafia receives full accreditation on programmes

​The Federal University of Lafia (FULafia) has secured full accreditation for all of its academic programmes evaluated by the National Universities Commission (NUC) during the 2025 assessment cycle.


​The Vice-Chancellor( VC) of the institution, Prof. Mohammed Isa Kida who announced this Monday, expressed satisfaction for the result describing it as a pivotal moment for the institution.

Prof Kida noted that the development has marked a successful step in FULafia’s journey toward becoming a centre of academic excellence.

He extended his gratitude to his predecessor, Prof. Shehu Abdul Rahman, noting that the groundwork and leadership provided during his tenure were essentials to the victory.

​The VC also acknowledged the contributions of Prof. Ilemona Adofu (current Deputy VC of Academic Affairs), and commended him for his resilience and doggedness in managing the accreditation process.

​He also thanked the Deans and Heads of Departments, noting that their dedication ensured every program met the NUC standards.

​The VC maintained that the perfect score was a direct result of consistent investment in infrastructure, human capital, and strict adherence to regulatory guidelines.

​”This feat reflects our sustained commitment to the benchmarks set by the NUC. We will continue to uphold these high standards in teaching, research, and community service.” Prof. Kida said.

He added that FULafia would consolidate these gains to further enhance its reputation and provide high-quality education to its students.
