Reverend Father Moses Orshio Adasu University’s (MOAUM) Governing Council has approved the establishment of eight new Directorates and appointed Directors to oversee operations in the Registry and Bursary Departments.
This decision was made during the Council’s 150th meeting on February 10, 2026, where recommendations from the 88th and 89th meetings of the Appointments and Promotions Committee were accepted.
The development was contained in a press release on Wednesday signed by the University’s Registrar and Secretary to the Council, Barnabas Terfa Hemba.
The release states that,
“The decision was reached during the Council’s meeting as part of on-going efforts to strengthen the administrative structure of the university and enhance effective service delivery across key areas of its mandate”.
Following this latest development, the University now has a total of twenty-five (25) directorates in operation.
The newly created Directorates and their appointed Directors are as follows: Information, Protocol and Public Relations has Augustina Funmilayo Tolufashe; Central Administration and Legal Matters is headed by Nguamo Aondona Adi; Human Resources Management has Aondover Nicholas Zwawua, while Council and Management Affairs is headed by Dr. Scholastica Ngunengen Banka.
Others are: Academic Affairs headed by Dr. Mfaga Modom; Budget and Expenditure has John Elaigwu Audu; Final Accounts and Reports is headed by Chris Akaa; while Finance and Treasury is headed by Stephen Vershima Akpera.
According to the release, the appointment is for a period of two (2) years with effect from 10th February, 2026 and it is subject to renewal by mutual agreement for another two (2) years
It further states that the establishment of these directorates is aimed at improving coordination, promoting accountability and ensuring greater efficiency in the administration of the institution’s academic and non-academic activities.
The newly appointed Directors have been urged to bring their knowledge, experience and professionalism to bear in advancing the Vision and Mission of the University towards administrative and academic excellence.
