Former FCTA Director joins Wukari/Ibi House of Reps race

Retired Director of Development Control at the Federal Capital Territory Administration, FCTA, Muktar Galadima, has officially joined the race for the Wukari/Ibi Federal Constituency seat under the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP.

Galadima obtained both his expression of interest and nomination forms at the PDP secretariat in Jalingo, the Taraba State capital, on Wednesday.

Speaking to journalists after the purchase, the town planner said he was confident of delivering impactful representation to his constituents if elected. He also expressed optimism about winning the House of Representatives seat in the 2027 general election.

Galadima stressed that electoral victory rests with the people, not with the ruling party. He dismissed concerns over the dominance of the All Progressives Congress, APC, in Taraba, saying it would not affect his chances.

“I am happy today because the journey toward giving my people purposeful leadership is now in full gear,” he said. “I have just collected my nomination and expression of interest forms, and I am overwhelmed by the support and goodwill from the people of Wukari and Ibi.”

He noted that his aspiration was driven by calls from his constituents for better representation at the National Assembly, citing his track record while serving in the FCTA.

“I am confident of victory in 2027. I urge my people not to be intimidated, as the power to choose their representative lies with them,” he added.
