BENSESA GM Supervises Refuse Evacuation within Makurdi Metropolis

The Acting General Manager of the Benue State Environmental Sanitation Authority (BENSESA), Hon. Anta Igbaato, has commenced supervision of indiscriminate refuse evacuation and dumpsites within the metropolis.

While supervising the exercise on Monday, at a refuse dump site opposite Access Bank, High-Level Market, among other locations, the GM explained that the exercise will be sustained to maintain proper waste disposal, promote public health, and inculcate proper hygiene habits among citizens.

Furthermore, in a bid to set high sanitation targets for 2026, the GM  announced that the Authority will embark on massive evacuation of dirt filling the drainage systems within the state.

A press release by the Head of Information, Mr. Iorver Simon Aondonengen, states that “Henceforth, Benue residents shall remove refuse filling up in drainages within their property and equally request the service of BENSESA through its customers’ care line.”

Hon. Igbaato also charged heads of units on higher productivity to achieve these set targets, encouraging staff performance through better welfare, among others, to actualize Gov. Alia’s vision in the sector.
